| Some of the women and I during our 2014 Conference |
Oftentimes, we get so bogged down in everything going on around us that we often forget why we do what we do. Or we don’t always see the results, from the vision God has given us, and we get discouraged. It’s in those moments when God sends a reminder.
This weekend He sent my reminder. Our women’s ministry monthly fellowship was this past weekend. We had an awesome time (laughing, food, fun, tears, etc) as always. Everything goes as planned…the women are enjoying themselves, lesson is being presented, everyone is enjoying the food (spiritual and physical nourishment). Then it happened…
***You’ve often seen me write that we have to get the baggage (weight, hurt, pain, etc) that is holding us back off of us. The consequences of holding onto all of these things is sickness (whether it be physically, emotionally, or spiritually), anger (same three categories), blockage (blocking our blessings because we won’t let anyone in), etc etc etc. We don’t realize our own thoughts and behavior are detrimental to lives. The baggage causes us to become hardened individuals. You know when you wear a shoe that is too tight and a corn/callus begins to form on your toe. A corn forms in response to the pressure the toe feels. How do you react? Do you keep wearing the shoe or buy a bigger size? How do you deal with the corn? Just like that toe, life’s situations cause us to form corns/calluses, but see instead of us dealing with our issues…we cover them up and become callused people. A callus is hard to the touch…a corn may hurt when touched…in essence, we’re hard and hurt…When you’re hurt you lash out…you’re angry…maybe you’re the opposite and retreat…Whatever your response is, we’ve got to get to the bottom of it and let it go!***
I was truly in awe. I watched God work. What I asked him for in our women’s ministry began to happen. A personal testimony was shared…which prompted another young lady to begin to release what she had been holding and hiding from others. So now true healing can begin.
To me, this is a praise report. I thank God for the vision of UnShaded Revelations. I thank God for the vision He’s given for our women’s ministry, both are coming together like I would’ve never imagined.
I said all that to say this: If He’s given you vision…He will make the provision.
Be Steadfast. Immovable. Continue to do the Lord’s work. Your Labor is NOT in vain.
{{1 Corinthians 15:58}}
